Azucena Lopez

Research Project Manager

Azucena Lopez

Azucena Lopez is a born and raised Chicagoan with over 3 years of experience working on community-based participatory research (CBPR). She is passionate about creating safe and healthy neighborhoods through conducting and applying public health research. Azucena has a Master of Public Health from Northwestern University in the Community Health Research concentration. In her free time, Azucena can be found dancing salsa, baking and walking her two dogs.

Currently, our research focuses primarily on gun violence prevention and community violence intervention (CVI), policing practices, and public safety, and we are expanding into other areas that effect neighborhood health and well-being.
